PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rivers Casino Philadelphia will resume operations Monday, Jan. 4, at 4 p.m., following the governor’s three-week year-end shutdown of all Pennsylvania casinos and the City of Philadelphia's amended orders permitting casinos to reopen. Rivers Casino’s gaming floor will be open 24/7.

The casino’s much-anticipated reopening means approximately 970 Team Members will return to work this week. More may follow as business levels return. Rivers Casino Philadelphia currently employs approximately 1,420.

Restaurants and bars at Rivers Casino Philadelphia remain closed, per the citywide orders. Smoking is not currently permitted on the gaming floor; designated outdoor smoking areas have been established.

All COVID-19 health and safety protocols remain in place, including masks or approved face-coverings, temperature checks, and social distancing for guests and Team Members, with no exceptions. Team Members continue to complete Daily COVID-19 Self Assessments, which have proven effective in keeping individuals who may have been exposed to the virus elsewhere away from the property.

Rivers Casino said it is extending its daily hours, bringing the casino nearly back to a 24/7 operation again.Starting Sept. 6, the casino will be open at all times except 4-9 a.m. At Rivers Casino, all guests and workers will undergo a health screening before entering the casino. You will be required to wear a mask or face covering. You'll notice spaced out card tables.

The Rivers Clean Team continues to work around the clock to keep the casino safe and sanitized. Air filtration technology from airPHX^® and AtmosAir^™runs 24/7 property wide, continuously disinfecting surfaces and indoor air. Also, across the gaming floor, the casino has approximately 120 hand sanitation stations with hand sanitizer or disinfectant wipes.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia follows best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and meets or exceeds all COVID-19 Casino Reopening Protocols announced by the PGCB. Indoor dining capacity at all Rivers’ restaurants remains at 50%, per the Allegheny County Health Department and the Commonwealth. At each restaurant, alcohol is available with meals only. Restaurants’ hours of operation are subject to change, pending new orders from state or local officials.

Wheelhouse Bar & Grill — Wheelhouse Bar & Grill is the spot to catch any televised game while enjoying a delicious meal. Its hours are Monday to Thursday from 4-11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

FLIPT — This “burger-mecca” has high standards when it comes to top-quality, fresh ingredients. Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, show your Players Club Card for 20% off the menu. Hot Dog Cart — Daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., a hot dog cart will be available inside Drum Bar. Hot dogs are $2 with Players Club Cards and $3 without. The cart also offers nachos, chips and soft drinks.

At all Rivers Casino restaurants, alcohol service ends at 11 p.m. There is no alcohol service on the casino floor. Outdoor covered seating is available outside the main front entrance for takeout meals. Masks must be worn at all times, except when eating or drinking.
